Have been trying very hard, out of my busy schedule, to catch up with my homework assignments for my illustration class. Here are a few fun ones.
Assignment #3:
Make at least 10 illustration SKETCHES for the following text. And pick one of the sketches and turn it into a FINAL illustration!
I Don't Want to Travel (by Emmanuelle Houdart)
I Don't Want to Travel
Except in the hand of a giant
Except on a witch's broomstick
Except in the jaws of a wolf
Except in a bottle of raspberry syrup
Except on the back of my tortoise
Except with my catfish
Except by the light of the moon
Except under the sea
Except with my favorite book
Assignment #5:
Illustrate the nursery rhyme Three Blind Mice
Three blind mice, three blind mice.
See how they run, see how they run.
They all ran after the farmer's wife,
who cut their tales with a carving knife.
Did you ever see such a thing in your life as three blind mice.
Create at least 2 final illustrations. (but at least 1 full spread).
Break up the text anyway you want, but you may not alter the actual text (ie. change the words)
Class Assignment:
Within 15 minutes, make a 3D character out of whatever materials you can find on the table, then make sketches, develop more of the character and make a sequence of action of the character within 20 minutes.
